LAST UPDATED MAY 27, 2008

The Instructor Test Generator problem has been resolved.

The NEWEST QUESTIONS display under the ALL QUESTIONS list box on the Review Questions screen now works properly in all books/sections displaying the newest questions added by NMC to the database.

The display of the FIRE PLAN solutions under SAFETY should now display properly.

We will be working on setting up the proper VIEW PDF page for the Rules of the Road reference.  Right now JUST page one of the reference rule is displayed.  Eventually the program will jump to the page referenced by the question.  Edits to 1272 Rules of the Road questions have to be made and this will take time.

As solutions are solved they will be posted.  INSTRUCTORS please make note that as of this week, May 26, 2008 the NMC will be removing ALL reference to 1981 in the Navigation Problems.  The 1981 Nautical Almanac (OLD OR NEW - with 1981 removed) is still valid for solving these problems.  LAPWARE will ONLY remove reference to 1981 in any new questions or solutions posted.

We are presently working with our programmer at improving the control over the display of Chart Plot problems for all levels.  This may take some time but will be a good improvement to LAPWARE.  Thank you for having patience with us while we make these necessary changes.

Please be aware that we, LAPWARE authors, have taken upon themselves to REDRAW all of the Stability Reference diagrams used by NMC to solve Safety Stability Problems.  These new diagrams will be made available via LAPWARE in the near future for your use.  We first must verify their accuracy by usage by some schools and students that the answers achieved are as accurate as the original diagrams previously provided.  Once verified and confirmed, NMC is considering using our newer and cleaner diagrams for Stability solutions.

LAPWARE AUTHORS continue to work closely with the NMC at making their database as accurate as possibly and as reflective of practical questions needed to properly test today's mariners.

Many thanks to Robert Kenney and Donald Jones for their efforts in making improvements to the NMC Deck Database.
